1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sifted flour
2 cups cornflakes
2 cups quick oatmeal, uncooked
3 cups coconuts
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup walnut halves
Cream butter with sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add salt, flour, cornflakes, oatmeal, coconut, baking soda and
powder and mix well. ( use hands) Using about a teaspoonful of the batter at a time, roll into small balls and place on greased
cookie sheets. Or drop by teaspoonfuls onto sheets. Place a walnut half on top of each cookie and press cookie down with a
fork. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart as they will spread when baking.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 7 to 10 min. Just until golden, but not brown. Remove from sheets and cool on racks.
