1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups M & M 's

Blend shortening and sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Stir in 1/2 cup of candy. Drop teaspoonfuls on un-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 min.
