Chocolate Crinkles

1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted (4 oz.)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup confectioner's sugar

Mix oil, chocolate, and sugar. Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla. Measure flour by dip-level-pour method. Stir in salt, flour, and baking powder. Chill several hours or overnight. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough into confectioner's sugar. Roll around and shape into a ball. Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

Makes about 6 dozen.
